@@epictetus__ you will have to keep it under your front seat. During take off landing bags are not allowed to keep in the lap. Once the aircraft is in the air and seat belt signs are off you can then keep it in your lap 👍

Yes it what's the rule says but you can take the risk. I have to Thailand 4 times. I have been asked by the airline staff if I'm carrying enough cash a couple of times but never in immigration at the Thailand airport. I wouldn't recommend taking the risk because you would anyway need cash for your expenses there 👍
